Anker Pillar Systems
Authentic Masonry Pillars...Without the Mason

HOW WILL THE PILLARS BE SHIPPED ?

We will pack the pillars on skids and we will ship them to your desired location by way of common carrier. Anker Pillar Systems will arrange trucking and take care of customs, if being shipped to USA.

HOW DO I DETERMINE PILLAR HEIGHT

Flat Capped Pillar - 6 inches higher than fence or gate.

Peak Capped Pillar - 12 inches higher than fence or gate.

*Note * If hanging a gate from the columns, please take into consideration the grade of the soil, you may require additional height to compensate for the uneven ground.

HOW FAR DOWN SHOULD THE BASE BE BURIED ?

Our pillar heights are based on the following:

13” Base — 5” exposed: 2” below grade

17” Base — 7” exposed: 3” below grade

22” Base — 10” exposed: 4” below grade

30” - NO BASE

*Note* If you choose to bury the base more or less, you must adjust that in your total pillar height.

HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO INSTALL THE AVERAGE PILLAR ?

Once you have your foundation poured onto place it will take approximately 45

minutes to stack the layers and secure the cap in place. The caulking procedure which takes place last, will take approximately 20 minutes per column.

WHAT SIZE FOUNDATION WILL I NEED ?

Due to soil conditions in your area, structural applications require engineered

concrete pile footings. The foundation is the most important part of the installation

and must be able to withstand applied loads. Please ensure you insert re-bar into

the concrete pile footing to strengthen and reinforce the column.

HOW DO I ATTACH FENCING OR GATES ?

For a fence application there are two options:

- you may drill directly into the column with a drill bit and simply wall mount the fence brackets onto the completed column.

- if using fence brackets, you must install the brackets between the layers at predetermined heights. This is done by cutting a channel into the layer that the bracket will rest on using a grinder with a masonry blade before stacking the layers on top of one an other.

For a gate application:

- the gate brackets must be installed in between the layers by cutting a channel into the layer that the bracket will rest on . The bracket will then be wire tied to the re-bar and the core of the pillar must be filled with concrete

.
